Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provides assistance to Housekeeping Manager in managing all aspects of Hotel Housekeeping Operations and acts as one when necessary, when Housekeeping Manager is not available
  • Rostering team members
  • Manning the department within budgetary requirements
  • Motivating all team members
  • Counselling team members on job performance
  • Coaching team members on job performance
  • Investigating grievance matters, suggestions and complaints
  • Achieving a working environment free of harassment and discrimination •
  •  Controlling team member hours; daily, annual leave, sick leave
  • Processing payroll for all team members
  • Disciplining team members
  • Recruitment of team members
  • Co-ordinating new starter orientation and training
  • Training supervisors
  • Directing and supervising room attendants, housemen, public area cleaners and mini-bar, giving physical assistance when necessary
  • Ensuring team members meet productivity requirements for the property
  • Reduction of team member turnover
  • Developing team member talent and encouraging AHS career progression
  • Actioning client requests promptly and communicating necessary operational information
  • Actioning guest requests promptly

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR equivalent 3 years experience in Housekeeping Supervisor role, ideally in a Hotel Industry
