Sustainability (ESG)

As part of RGF Staffing APEJ, we are committed to making a positive contribution to our community. We currently have representatives of ahs hospitality in an Employee Resource Group for Environment, Social and Governance to further demonstrate our commitment. From these groups ahs hospitality has achieved the following initiatives:

Environment

By reducing environmental impact, waste, and conserving resources, and embracing eco-friendly practices, we will become more sustainable, benefiting both guests and assets.

Sustainability in Our Head Offices

Our head offices have been designed with sustainability as a priority, with energy-efficient LED lighting and power management through a desk booking system. We also offer a hybrid working model for support office employees to further reduce our carbon footprint.

Sustainable Technology Partners:

The rollout of our technology solutions with suppliers such as TANDA and HUB OS provide a significant reduction in paper usage to in daily housekeeping practises along with the ability to provide our team members with work flexibility in a trackable and compliant nature.

Sustainable Supply Chain:

We underwent an audit that paved the path to cultivating alliances with eco-conscious suppliers such as Bunzl who continue to innovate in their consolidated delivery systems and product rage for a more sustainable approach to housekeeping. This collaborative partnership not only mirrors our ESG objectives but also underscore our dedication to conscientious business operations.

Sustainable Equipment & Chemicals:

We prioritise environmentally friendly products for example, our signature ahs polo crafted from 100% recycled polyester eliminates the need for energy-intensive ironing and tumble drying. Additionally, our employment of microfiber cloths sourced from repurposed PET bottles not only diverts plastic from landfills but also diminishes approximately 7.5kg of CO2 emissions per cloth.

In addition, our chemical supplier Diversey innovates alongside ahs hospitality to evolve product ranges that continue to become more and more eco-friendly. Our commitment in this space means that product development is continuous to ensure that we are leaders in this space.

Social

Having a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture aligns our employees with our international guest clientele, fosters greater employee satisfaction, and has proven to improve business performance.

Diverse Hiring:

We have employed over 140 nationalities and have HR processes in place to avoid discrimination and foster inclusivity. We also have a partnership established with Nepal's Skills Campus, providing a paid internship for hospitality students in Nepal that offers international experience that counts towards their course completion.

Acting as a Change maker:

A few ways we demonstrate our dedication to improving employment equity include, actioning our commitments to our endorsed Reconciliation Action Plan, achieving our set employment targets within the RGF Connect program for women facing barriers to employment, and maintaining our WORK180 endorsement as a company that prioritises improving workplace standards and practices for women.

Inclusive Resources & Tools:

To support our team members who are neurodiverse, all our head offices are staffed with people who are trained and identify themselves as Mental Health and First Aid workers in our office directory. We have also added the option for our head office team members to elect their preferred pronouns in their email signatures to foster a comfortable and safe space for members of the transgender community.

Community Engagement:

We nurture an inclusive environment by actively celebrating and participating in cultural observations such as Harmony Week to celebrate cultural diversity, Pride Month to foster an environment where members of the LGBTQIA+ community feel more comfortable bringing their whole selves to work, and International Women’s Day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Governance

We are committed to proper governance to support the safety and wellbeing of our workforce and instill ethical practices within our business.

Transparent Policies:

We have multiple policies produced by our parent company, which we must uphold, such as our RGF Staffing APEJ Quality Policy, Privacy Policy, and Modern Slavery Statement.

Risk Management:

We have internal team members who are responsible for risk management, who identify risks, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.

Compliance and Legal Framework:

Our parent company RGF Staffing APEJ provides us with access to the expertise of legal department and our quality and risk team.

Audit and Internal Controls:
